Bracknell Football Club
This customer required two 40ft High Cube containers to be used for a clubhouse and for equipment storage.
The containers were to be situated next to the club’s pitch and were seen as a more cost effective solution with the added advantage that they could be moved if the club relocated from its current grounds.
They were happy to do any conversion work themselves, so we supplied them with apertures cut along the sides and strengthened the top and bottom rails along the adjoining sides and removed most of the panels ready for joining up on site.

This successful club in the South Central Division was formed in 1896 as Old Bracknell Wanderers until it was renamed in 1962.
It is based at Larges Lane, Bracknell.
They needed a cost-effective solution for building a new clubhouse.
While they had their own resources to do a final fit of the containers they wanted some of the initial conversion work to be completed for them, prior to delivery.
We pride ourselves on doing as much conversion work on a project, or indeed as little as a customer may need. BTFC shared their exact requirements which allowed our conversions team to work out what we would need to complete prior to delivery.
After a quick meeting it was decided that a pair of used containers repainted in RAL 6007 (Bottle Green) would be the best solution for them. In terms of modifications needed we identified that the side rails would need to be strengthened, before removing the side panels. Some additional apertures were also needed along with work to allow the containers to be joined side by side. Box section was to be used to reinforce the apertures.
The customers planned to initially use the containers as a clubhouse complete with a storage room to keep their football equipment safe and dry. Once the part-worked container was delivered BTFC would complete the conversion once it was delivered and secured together. This would include partitioning to create the storage area.
The container had apertures removed, strengthening work and repainting done very swiftly to accommodate the customer’s timescale and once quality checked, it was ready to be loaded up ready for delivery. The work progressed smoothly without any hitches and went exactly as planned.
As you can see the containers were delivered nearly in place and allowed BTFC’s team to get started with wrapping up the project on their end.
Compared to using traditional bricks and mortar this meant the structure could be ready in a fraction of the time, with a fraction of the disruption and at a far lower cost. Another advantage of their approach was that as time progresses they can relocate and reuse it, something that they ultimately did by using it as a covered standing area which can accommodate 200 fans!
